RE: Robbery & Assault at University Village Apartments

The University Police responded to 1020 Linden Street (University Village Apartments), Apartment building F for a woman injured. Officers found a 20-year-old female who said that around 10:30 p.m. last night (9/11/2009) she was assaulted in the women’s rest room at the apartment’s pool area. The victim had suffered abrasions and bruises to the face area during the physical altercation with the suspect. The victim who was a visitor at the complex was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect forcibly entered the women’s rest room while she was inside and demanded the victim’s purse and money. UCPD Detectives were called to the scene and through their investigation found a second victim who was gave officers a description of the suspect. The second victim was approached in the pool area by the suspect who attempted to entice her into the spa. When victim refused the suspect grabbed at her pants and the victim ran from the pool area.

The suspect was described as:

• Mid 20’s black male adult, weighing about 200 pounds, muscular build
• Short or no hair, wearing a gray t-shirt with black shorts and black shoes
• Vehicle driven by the suspect was a red pick-up truck
