Regarding: Robbery near Campus
Early Friday morning (10/9/09) at around 3:00am, 2 victims were robbed while walking on University Avenue near the 215 freeway overpass.
A vehicle drove by the victims and parked near them. Two (2) suspects exited the vehicle, verbally threatened them and then demanded money. The victims surrendered their cash and the suspects got back into the vehicle which sped off on the southbound 215 Freeway. No weapons were reportedly used and the City of Riverside Police Department is investigating this case.
The suspects who confronted the victims were described as:
• Suspect 1: Hispanic male, shaved head, late 20's to early 30's, moustache, 5'09", slender. LSW blue LA Dodger hat, hoodie sweatshirt, and baggy clothes.
• Suspect 2: Hispanic male, shaved head, late 20's to early 30's, 6'01", stocky.
Suspect Vehicle:
• Older green Chevy Suburban and large chrome rims with 2 to 3 other subjects inside the vehicle.
