UCPD COVID-19 Operations Status Update
UCPD COVID-19 Operations Status Update:
UCPD patrol and dispatch operations remain fully staffed and operational.
We are conducting high visibility patrols on and around the campus.
Community Service Officers continue to patrol UCR Housing areas and are available for walking escort on campus.
The CSO Program is looking for hard working, responsible, and honest students. We are searching for enthusiastic students who are willing to become part of a very special team.
Working for the UC Police Department is an extremely unique and valuable experience. The CSO Program takes pride in being unlike any other job you will come across. Maybe it is because of the common desire to help out our community and keep our campus safe; maybe it’s the odd hours we keep. Whatever it is, a bond forms between us CSOs that is difficult to find in any other part time job.
CSOs participate in many different programs and majors on campus. While our long-term goals are different, we find a way to work together successfully.
We understand that school comes first and we work hard to offer our CSOs a flexible and varied schedule.
CSOs learn that teamwork is the most important aspect of this job. Camaraderie is further built up though general meetings where one can offer up their ideas about enhancing the program. We have an end-of-the-year banquet where awards are given to our outstanding members.
